Research

SEP 2025 – PRESENT

Florida Optics and Computational Sensor (FOCUS) Lab

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT · PI: DR. SANJEEV KOPPAL · UF ECE
  • EdgeTrain: co-authored a thermal-adaptive continual-learning controller for robot-mounted edge GPUs, submitted to CoRL 2026. Built the thermal instrumentation and evidence base: calibrated FLIR A6751sc imaging pipeline, 150 W radiant-heat stress rig, per-rail power telemetry, and DVFS characterization on a Jetson Orin NX.
  • Virtual thermal sensing: sole author of a system that predicts temperatures of off-die board components (VRM inductors, MOSFETs) from on-die telemetry alone, via thermal response mapping and lumped-capacitance model fitting; a real-time daemon needs no camera after a one-time calibration.
JAN 2026 – MAY 2026

Machine Intelligence Laboratory (MIL)

ELECTRICAL TEAM · SUBJUGATOR 9 AUV · UF ECE
  • Sole designer of the vehicle's leak-detection subsystem: comparator front end simulated in LTspice, Altium schematic capture and 2-layer layout, fabrication-released v2 with full manufacturing outputs.
JAN 2025 – APR 2025

Human Systems Engineering Lab

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT · PI: DR. WAYNE GIANG · UF ISE
  • Human factors and human-automation interaction: data collection for a driving-simulator study with older drivers, and a reproducible R analysis of student perceptions of AI tools in academic contexts, presented at the Spring Undergraduate Research Symposium.
